The cooperation between Tajikistan and NATO was discussed during the meeting of Tajik foreign minister Sirodjidin Aslov with NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow in Brussels, Asia Plus reported on October 22 citing the ministry's statement.
The development of cooperation between the sides and interaction within NATO's Partnership for Peace (PfP) program was the subject of discussions during the meeting. Tajikistan is a participant of this program since 2002.
The sides also exchanged views on important issues of regional and international agenda, such as the fight against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking, the situation in Afghanistan and prospects for the country's development after the withdrawal of international forces.
