The election to the Tajik parliament was declared valid in the Kulob Republican single-mandate constituency No37 and the party lists in the afternoon, Asia-Plus agency reported March 1.

The chairman of the district commission Davlatsho Sharofuddinov said that as of 12:00 (UTC/GMT +4 hours), around 57,516 people (70 percent) of the registered 96,450 people voted in the city of Kulob and Kulob district.

Former mayor of Kulob district Abdugaffor Aziz Rahmonzoda from the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, Saidibroimi Nazar from the Islamic Renaissance Party and a member of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, Director General of the Kulob International Airport Ali Komilov are nominated from this constituency.

Meanwhile, the local observers had a complaint on one of the constituencies. It was later announced by the CEC representative A. Dodozoda. The representatives of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan were not allowed to enter the polling stations in Kulob district.
