Turkmen and Turkish Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul stood for implementing the new joint projects during their telephone conversation, the Turkmen government said today.

The conversation was initiated by Ankara.

"The two sides unanimously stood for intensifying the bilateral relations in all key areas and implementing new joint projects that serve the economic prosperity of both countries and the region as a whole," the information said.

The two leaders appreciated the constructive bilateral dialogue. The cooperation in trade and economy is significant.

The sides regularly hold business forums, exhibitions, business meetings at different levels. In particular, the Turkmen Investment Forum has been recently held in Istanbul, Turkey, and the exhibition of Turkish goods in Ashgabat.

Moreover, the Presidents stressed the importance of developing a single, coherent approach to solve the global modern challenges.

Turkish businessmen master more than 1,270 investment projects in Turkmenistan. They include more than 1200 projects worth more than $15 billion and 26 projects worth over two billion euros, 26 projects worth over 56 billion manat and other projects.

Ankara has expressed an interest in delivering the Caspian energy resources to Europe via the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Ashgabat actively involves Turkish companies for the construction of the Caspian Sea resort Avaza, as well as the transport infrastructure, industrial and residential facilities.
