Ashgabat has discussed the programme of the forthcoming visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Turkmenistan, as well as the signing of contracts and agreements during the meeting, the statement of Belarusian government press service said.

Recently Turkmenistan was visited by a representative delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin, who held talks with the Deputy Prime Ministers of Turkmenistan Babaniyaz Italmazov and Baimurad Hodzhamuhammedov.

Members of the delegation from Minsk also held talks with the leadership of Turkmenstandartlary, Turkmengosstraha, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan and the Turkmenhimiya State Concern.

According to the report, issues of implementation of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of standardisation, metrology, certification and accreditation, as well as agreeing on a draft protocol of the meeting of the intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation on the Garlyk mining and processing plant.
