The Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan Primož Šeligo (residence in Moscow) is on a working visit to Ashgabat, according to Turkmen government.

The prospects of bilateral cooperation, in particular the issues of expanding the presence of Slovenian companies and their goods on the Turkmen market were discussed during the reception at the foreign ministry, the report said.

Furthermore, they will discuss promising areas of cooperation of Turkmenistan and Slovenia in the political, trade and economic spheres.

Slovenia and Turkmenistan came to an agreement on the establishment of the intergovernmental commission in early 2014. At present, the parties discuss the future performance of Slovenian companies in the country, including in the areas of pharmaceuticals, telecommunications technologies and supply of various equipment.

The sides discussed the conditions and prospects of bilateral cooperation, especially, expanding the presence of Slovenian companies and their goods in the Turkmen market. They also discussed the perspective directions of cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Earlier it was reported that Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia, Berdimyrat Redzhepov has been simultaneously appointed ambassador to Slovenia.

The prospects of entry of Slovenian companies into the market of Turkmenistan were also discussed.
