Russia's Ural Chemical Machine-Building Plant (Uralkhimmash) can participate in the reconstruction of the Maryazot chemical enterprise in Turkmenistan, the administration of the governor of Russia's Sverdlovsk region said.

This issue was discussed during the visit of the Sverdlovsk region's governor to Ashgabat.

The sides had discussions on reconstruction of the Maryazot enterprise with participation of the Uralkhimmash plant.

The Maryazot chemical enterprise is a part of Turkmenistan's Turkmenhimiya State Concern.

Maryazot is the only producer of ammonium nitrate in Turkmenistan, however it doesn't operate at full capacity.

The Director General of the Uralkhimmash plant, Sergey Gavrikov expressed the desire to participate in the project for reconstruction of the Maryazot enterprise and to bring it to the design capacity to ensure the production of some 450 tonnes of ammonium nitrate per year.

"This is a very important fertilizer enjoying high demand in the agricultural sphere in this country," he said.

The specialists of the Uralkhimmash plant carried out the full inspection of the enterprise and presented the feasibility study of the reconstruction project to the Turkmen side.
