The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul during the telephone conversation noted that there is a constructive inter-state partnership between Turkmenistan and Turkey, says the government of Turkmenistan.

The telephone conversation was initiated by the Turkish side.
The two sides expressed the need for further improvement of cooperation in order to maximize the available impressive resource and economic potential.

During the meeting it was noted that "the Turkmen and Turkish people have always cherished their relationships which largely determine the confidential and mutually beneficial cooperation in a new historical era built on a long and mutually beneficial basis."

Turkey is one of the largest trade partners of Turkmenistan. There are more than 600
Turkish companies on the local market. Earlier it was reported that on the results of 2013 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to about $4.746 billion, which is 38 percent more compared to 2012.
