By Huseyn Hasanov- Trend:

Turkmenistan plans to build marine radars on its area of the coastal territory of the Caspian Sea, said the government of the country with reference to the report of the National Committee for Hydrometeorology under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Introduction of modern equipment is provided under the newly constructed office building of the National Committee. This issue was discussed at the last government meeting.

Speaking on the introduction of modern equipment in the field of hydrometeorology, the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov noted the need for a specific and well-considered approach to this work.

"Construction of the marine radars will allow to obtain accurate data, prepare forecasts, and to send and receive information under the above-mentioned agreement ("On cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea")," the head of the country said.

The president instructed to keep this work under strict control.

In addition, Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov said that Turkmenistan, being committed to its international obligations, has earned credibility in the international community as a country that always fulfilled its commitments.

The work done during the presidency of Turkmenistan in the Coordination Committee for Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea (CASPCOM) in 2013-2014 is a good example of that, he said.

Turkmenistan borders on the Caspian Sea with Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Iran.
