Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received South Korea's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Ahn Myung Soo, completing his diplomatic mission in the country, the Turkmen government said Oct. 15.
"The Republic of Korea fully supports Turkmenistan's policy of "open doors" and multi-format international cooperation," the Korean diplomat said.
The two sides exchanged views on the full range of the interstate cooperation.
Some largest South Korean companies are successfully working on the Turkmen market. In particular, LG International and Hundai Engineering Co.LTD received large projects at the refinery in the city of Turkmenbashi and participated in a Galkynysh hydrocarbon deposit development project.
Earlier, Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) presented its potential in increasing bilateral potential in Ashgabat. Among them are the issues of the current status of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project and Kogas's proposal to Turkmenistan regarding this project.
