Commercial development of the fourth well of Kerwen gas field has started in the northern region of Turkmenistan's Lebap province, the country's Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Natural Resources said.

"Over 300 cubic meters of natural gas and about 15 metric tons of gas condensate is produced here per day," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Natural Resources added that currently, local specialists continue the work on increasing the production volume of natural gas and gas condensate.

It was earlier reported that the volume of resources of Kerwen field exceeds several billion cubic meters of gas. Gas reservoirs are located at a depth of nearly 3,500 meters.

Therefore, a number of infrastructure facilities have been created there: a facility for the preliminary processing of gas, gas gathering system, a gas manifold, reservoirs, energy facilities and so on.

A high-pressure main gas pipeline and Kerwen-Babarap-North Balguyy condensate pipeline with the length of over 45 kilometers each have been laid for the transportation of hydrocarbons.
