Chairperson of the Majlis (parliament) of Turkmenistan Akja Nurberdiyeva received credentials of Ambassador of Portugal Jorge Tito de Vasconcelos Nogueira Dias Cabral, a message from Turkmen government said on Nov.26.
During the meeting, the sides named the sphere of energy, textile industry and high-technologies sphere as the promising areas of the mutually beneficial partnership.
The diplomat was briefed about Turkmenistan's foreign policy priorities aimed at the development of constructive cooperation through the Interparliamentary ties with the EU countries as well, said the message.
"During the meeting, the sides expressed interest in the further strengthening of the political dialogue, as well as development of cooperation within international organizations, development of the bilateral cooperation potential in economy," the government message said.
Moreover, the two sides emphasized the importance of expanding the legal framework and cooperation between the business circles of the two countries.
