By Huseyn Hasanov- Trend:

Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe will make an official visit to Turkmenistan, which will have a historical significance for the further development of bilateral relations between the two countries, the Ambassador of Japan in Turkmenistan Hideomi Nakajima said in an annoucement distributed in the mass media.

The exact date of the visit is not reported. This visit will become the first official visit to Turkmenistan by the Japanese prime minister in the history of the partnership between the two states.

Official visits at the highest level surely have a great role in the development of productive partnership relations, according to the diplomat. In particular, the Turkmen leader's visits to Japan in December 2009 and in September 2013 had such a positive result, having given impetus to strengthening of relations and deepening of cooperation of Japan and Turkmenistan in various fields, including politics, economy and culture.

"The economic partnership with the effective common ground is one of most important priorities in the relations between the two countries," the Japanese diplomat said.

For example, the introduction of Japanese technologies in the industry of Turkmenistan, in particular, in the processing of natural gas, as part of the industrial diversification and the active participation of Japanese companies in the construction of the oil and gas plants in Turkmenistan are a good proof of this partnership.

"Japanese businessmen have been recently showing great interest in the development of their business in Turkmenistan," he said.

They are inspired by new projects with the participation of Japanese companies, such as the construction of gas processing plants, power plants and others.

The number of representative offices of Japanese companies operating in Turkmenistan has been recently growing. There is every reason for this growth trend to continue.

Holding of business forums with the participation of Japanese and Turkmen businessmen and officials is also beneficial for mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
