Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, May 25
By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend:
Turkmenistan will significantly strengthen its position not only on the market of primary energy resources, but will also hold a rightful place on the market of gas chemical products, said the country's Oil and Gas Minister Myratgeldi Meredov.
He made the remarks during the International Gas Congress in Avaza, Turkmenistan.
The minister noted that Turkmenistan plans to build a number of industrial facilities for natural gas processing, in particular, to build a plant for diesel and naphtha production, a plant for producing polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as a gas chemical complex for manufacturing a wide range of various products.
"Foreign companies which are ready to offer their advanced technologies and experience, can become our partners in constructing the mentioned facilities," said Meredov.
A number of gas chemical complexes have been constructed in Turkmenistan in recent years. For example, the large industrial complex in Kiyanly is meant to process 5 billion cubic meters of gas and return 4.5 billion cubic meters back to the country's gas transportation system.
