Turkmenistan produced 72.4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2015, which is 4.5 percent more than in 2014, says BP's Statistical Review of World Energy 2016.
Meanwhile, the country's share in the global gas output was 2 percent in 2015.
Gas consumption in Turkmenistan over this period was 34.3 billion cubic meters, which is 23.9 percent more than in 2014.
Currently, China and Iran are consumers of the Turkmen gas and the Chinese market is inclined to increase its demand.
Russia is no more buying the Turkmen gas.
Turkmenistan ranks fourth in the world in terms of gas reserves after Iran, Russia and Qatar.
