The Turkish exhibition of construction materials, to be held June 16-18 in Ashgabat, will be a platform for business meetings of Turkish businessmen with representatives of the Turkmen enterprises, organizations and offices, the Turkmen government said in a message June 14.

Forty two major Turkish companies have been registered for participation in the event.

The message also said Turkmenistan has started a large-scale urban planning program and is interested to attract innovations and know-how for this program; therefore, such business activities provide an opportunity to see the latest developments in different spheres of production and technology.

Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said during the last meeting of the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers that the partnership between the two countries has a rich experience and considering the resources and the success of national economies this partnership is aimed at achieving new milestones in the trade and economic relations.

Currently, 600 Turkish companies, which entrusted to implement such major projects as the construction of the international sea port in the Turkmenbashi city, the international airport of Turkmenistan's capital, autobahns, road interchanges and bridges, operate in Turkmenistan.

The volume of trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Turkey amounted to $5.5 billion in 2015.
