Discussion of prospects of cooperation regarding implementation of the EU Border Management Program in Central Asia (BOMCA) took place in Ashgabat, the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan said in a message.
At the meeting with an expert Plamen Tonchev, the sides expressed hope for successful implementation of the ninth phase of BOMCA in Turkmenistan.
This program is aimed at strengthening border security in the region, promoting cross-border cooperation, legitimate trade and transit traffic.
BOMCA assists Central Asian countries in their pursuit of regional economic development and facilitates trade in Central Asia, with neighboring countries and between the countries of Central Asia and the EU member states.
