The Turkmen state budget’s profitable part was executed by 11.5 billion manats, while its expenditure part was executed by 13.5 billion manats in the 10 months of 2016, the Turkmen Finance Ministry said Nov. 7.
The revenue part of the Turkmen state budget is mainly formed through such sectors as oil and gas, chemical industry, power generation, and construction sector.
Turkmenistan enjoys one of the key positions in its region in terms of the natural gas supply, with deliveries going to China and Iran.
According to the approved state budget of Turkmenistan, the 2016 revenues and expenses are projected at 102,478.5 million manats and 104,878.5 million manats, respectively.
Official exchange rate in Turkmenistan has remained at 3.50 manats per $1 since January 1, 2015.
