The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan has nominated Bekmyrat Ataliev, chairman of the commercial bank Ryskal, as a candidate for the upcoming presidential election in the country during the Union’s meeting on Dec. 15, the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news service reported.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is a big public organization of Turkmenistan that unites about 14,500 representatives of local businesses.
Under the decision of the Turkmen parliament, the presidential election will be held on Feb. 12, 2017.
