Cotton will be sowed in Turkmen Ahal, Lebap and Mary provinces on March 25 and in Dashoguz province - March 29, the Turkmen government said in a message.
The issue was discussed at a meeting of the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the message, around 1.50 million tons of cotton are planned to be grown in the country in 2017.
Cotton is in demand for tens of modern textile enterprises in the country.
The total area of cultivated land is more than 500,000 hectares.
