Turkmenistan sees creation of several free trade zones with Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia as promising, reads an article by the ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’ newspaper.
“This will let Turkmenistan strengthen foreign economic ties, increase trade turnover and also give a new momentum to the development of the country’s regions,” said the article.
The article also says that creating free trade zones specialized in tourism, agriculture, industry and processing of agricultural products will be most promising.
Favorable conditions have been created in Turkmenistan for significant intensification of free economic zones’ development and ensuring acceleration of economic development in the country, reads the article.
