Submittals for the 73-kilometer section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline have been compiled at the Turkmen section of the future interstate gas transportation system, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said in an article.

Until the end of April this year, it is planned to prepare submittals for all types of work regarding the infrastructure development of the 214-kilometer section of the TAPI gas pipeline on the territory of Turkmenistan.

“Specialists have selected sites for the construction of future infrastructure facilities, and the communications infrastructure including gas pipeline, water pipeline, electrical grids and others is being designed for these facilities,” the article said.

Construction of the Turkmen section of TAPI was launched on Dec. 13, 2015. The annual capacity of the gas pipeline will reach 33 billion cubic meters.

The total length of the TAPI pipeline will be 1,814 kilometers. A 214-kilometer section of the pipeline will run through Turkmenistan, a 774-kilometer section will run through Afghanistan and an 826-kilometer section will run through Pakistan.
