Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Spain to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow, Jose Ignacio Karbahal Garate presented his credentials addressed to the President to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov on May3, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.
According to the report, during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of Uzbek-Spanish relations in political, economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian fields.
The sides expressed mutual interest in developing cooperation in the investment sphere as well as implementation of mutually beneficial projects based on advanced technologies.
Special attention was paid to the expansion of ties between universities and cultural institutions of the two countries and cooperation in the field of health care.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the new Spanish ambassador also exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
