Money transfer between Uzbekistan and Russia increases by two percent

The amount of the physical entities' money transfer increased by 1.8 percent to $1.787 billion between Uzbekistan and Russia in the second quarter of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013, according to the Central Bank of Russia.

The amount of money transfer from Russia to Uzbekistan was $1.63 billion (a 0.6 percent growth) in April - June compared to $1.62 billion for the same period in 2013. Around $157 million were transferred from Uzbekistan to Russia, which is 16.3 percent more than in the second quarter of 2013.

The average amount of money transfer from Russia to Uzbekistan was $576 compared to $555 a year earlier (a 3.8 percent growth). The figure was $1,930 (a 1.4 percent growth) from Uzbekistan to Russia compared to $1,900.

The amount of money transfer between Uzbekistan and Russia decreased by 9.6 percent to $1.047 billion in the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013.

The amount of money transfer from Russia to Uzbekistan decreased by 11.7 percent to $910 million in January - March but it increased by 7.9 percent up to $137 million from Uzbekistan to Russia.

The physical entities' money transfer amount between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by 18.3 percent - up to $7.196 billion in 2013, according to the Central Bank of Russia.

The money transfer amount from Russia to Uzbekistan increased by 17 percent - up to $6.633 billion in 2013, from Uzbekistan to Russia - by 35.3 percent to $563 million.

The data cover such money transfer systems as Western Union, UNIStream, MoneyGram, Contact, BLIZKO, Golden Crown, Migom, PrivatMoney, AsiaExpress, LEADER, InterExpress, Anelik, Allur, Blitz, Bistraya Pochta, Coinstar Money Transfer and Post of Russia, according to the Russian Central Bank.
