A Kazakh delegation headed by the national coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) issues, the special envoy of the foreign ministry Shahrat Nuryshev discussed the cooperation issues as part of the SCO, the Uzbek foreign ministry said.
The sides also discussed the preparation for the upcoming events of statutory bodies, including a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the SCO member-states scheduled for December 2014 in Astana in accordance with the cooperation program between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for 2012-2014.
The SCO includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan are observer-countries, dialogue partners - Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka.
