Strong explosion occurred at one of the gas filling stations in Kokand city (Ferghana region, the eastern part of Uzbekistan) on April 24 evening.
The ignition at the Sayohat gas filling station owned by Autogas LLC occurred due to non-compliance with liquefied gas filling technology, the Uzbek interior ministry said.
As a result of the fire, two liquid gas tanks of different sizes exploded due to overheating.
An employee of the gas station and two employees of the fire and rescue service were injured as a result of the fire. They were hospitalized with burns of varying severity.
"The material damage is being assessed," the ministry said. The investigative actions are underway."
