A number of important laws are planned to be considered at a plenary session of the Senate of Uzbekistan in Tashkent May 15.
The Senators will also consider the laws "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier", the new versions of the laws "On the Securities Market" and "On electronic commerce".
The agenda of the meeting also includes the consideration of the law "On amendments and additions, as well as the Annulment of Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
The agenda also includes other laws envisaging the further intensification of the social and economic reforms, improvement of investment climate and business sphere, entrepreneurship development, improvement of the judicial-legal area, information security.
Moreover, a number of laws on the ratification of international treaties will be submitted at the meeting.
The Senators will also discuss reports on the activity of the Oliy Majlis Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), the Accounting Chamber and the State Committee for Nature Protection in 2014 at the plenary session.
The plenary meeting will also discuss other issues related to the Senate's competence.
The current meeting of Uzbek parliament's upper house is the second meeting after the election of the new composition of Senate of Uzbek Oliy Majlis in January 2015.
The first organizational meeting of the newly elected composition of the upper house of Uzbek parliament of 2015 - 2019 convocation was held Jan.22, 2015.
Uzbekistan's bicameral parliament was created in 2005. Its legislative chamber permanently employs 150 MPs elected from four political parties and the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan for 5 years.
