Uzbek Uzagrosugurta increases collection of premiums

Uzagrosugurta JSC, one of the Uzbekistan’s five largest insurers, increased the collection of premiums by 31.2 percent – up to 109 billion soums in 2015.

Uzagrosugurta JSC, one of the Uzbekistan's five largest insurers, increased the collection of premiums by 31.2 percent - up to 109 billion soums in 2015, the company told Trend Jan. 29.

Total payments increased by 74.8 percent - up to 24.3 billion soums in 2015.

Some 32.1 percent of total payments accounted for the agricultural risk insurance, 11.1 percent - for insurance of population, 40.3 percent - for compulsory insurance, 16.5 percent - for other types of insurance.

Uzagrosugurta was established in 1997 to provide comprehensive services to insurance companies in the agricultural sector of the economy of Uzbekistan.

The company offers more than 70 types of insurance through 13 regional directorates, 173 district and municipal offices, 20 subsidiaries operating throughout Uzbekistan and 426 agency company offices in remote areas.

The authorized capital of the insurance company totals 23.535 billion soums.

The official exchange rate was set as 2831.49 UZS/$ 1 as of Jan. 29.
