President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov offered his condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in connection with strong earthquakes in Kyushu Island, which caused many human causalities and devastations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The Uzbek leader shared his sympathy and support to relatives and friends of the people who died and were injured in the result of the earthquakes.

The southwest of Japan was on Apr. 15 shaken by a series of earthquakes, the magnitude of which reached 7.3.

The quakes caused multiple destructions. At least 41 people were killed and 2,000 injured in the result of the earthquakes.
