Uzbekistan, WB mull co-op prospects

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and World Bank (WB) Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller discussed the priorities of bilateral cooperation, as well as key areas for the expansion of partnership and implementation of perspective projects, the Uzbekistan national news agency (UzA) reported.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and World Bank (WB) Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller discussed the priorities of bilateral cooperation, as well as key areas for the expansion of partnership and implementation of perspective projects, the Uzbekistan national news agency (UzA) reported.

According to the message, President Mirziyoyev has recently received Muller, who paid a working visit to Tashkent.

During the meeting, President Mirziyoyev stressed the dynamically developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and WB.

At present, the portfolio of bilateral cooperation includes 33 joint projects.

Muller stressed the importance of the measures recently taken in Uzbekistan to ensure the accelerated development of small business, a more favorable business sphere and investment climate in the country.

Muller will deliver a lecture at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and meet with teachers and students in Tashkent.
