Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Russia on Apr. 4-5 at the invitation of the country’s President Vladimir Putin, Uzbekistan’s national news agency (UzA) reported Apr. 3.
During the meetings and negotiations with Russian leadership, a wide range of issues of bilateral agenda and prospects of development of mutually beneficial cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transportation and communication, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian and other spheres will be considered within the context of strengthening strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia, says the report.
The two presidents will also exchange views on relevant regional and international issues.
Following the high-level negotiations, a joint statement is planned to be adopted by the two countries’ presidents.
Meanwhile, intergovernmental, interdepartmental agreements, commercial contracts and other documents aimed at further deepening of the Uzbek-Russian relations are also expected to be signed during the visit.
