Iran is hosting the first international conference dubbed" Hollywoodism and Cinema" to discuss the negative impact of Hollywood productions.
Some 27 independent filmmakers and critics from several countries including Italy, Lebanon, Switzerland, Ukraine, India and Australia are taking part in the two-day conference, beginning on February 6, in Iran's capital, Tehran, a Press TV correspondent reported on Sunday.
The conference is being held on different themes including terrorism and Hollywood, Hollywood and satanism, Islamophobia in Hollywood as well as the American life style.
The participants believe most cinema productions are focused on materialism and promoting a new life style called American life style and Hollywood has always been leading the course.
Film critics believe limiting the audience views to such perspectives such as materialism, humanism and satanism, which are being promoted by Hollywood is a goal, which few people could believe has been set accidentally.
Moreover, violence, war and terrorism have become the dominant themes of the Hollywood movies, which are set to reflect the policies of the US administration.
The conference, February 6-7, has coincided with the 29th Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.
