The registration time of candidates for Iranian parliamentary elections has been announced, IRIB news reported.
Registration of the candidates will start on Dec. 24, according to the report released by the Election Headquarters of Iran.
The candidate registration is scheduled to go on for 7 days, till the end of December. According to the report, the candidates have to apply using a number of documents necessary for registration.
Candidates have to be loyal towards Iranian constitution, respect and obey the Supreme Leader, have no negative story prior to the elections. A candidate must also be at least 30 years of age, maximum 70 years of age, and have a Masters degree.
Parliamentary elections in Iran are scheduled for March 2, 2012. Elections in Iran are held under the control of the Interior Ministry and the Council of Guardians.
