Iran will soon add another drilling platform to its oil and gas fleet, Shana news agency reports.
Work on Iran's Sahar 2 drilling platform is progressing as planned and will be completed in the coming Iranian year (Iran's solar year ends on March 20), said the deputy managing director of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC).
The Sahar 1 platform will become operational in the Persian Gulf soon to help speed up Iran's exploitation of the joint South Pars oil and Gas field.
The NIDC has undertaken almost 45,000 metres of drilling this year with 35,500 metres of that on land and 9385 metres offshore.
