Iranian court has sentenced a man to death for assassination of nuclear scientist Masoud Ali-Mohammadi, Fars news agency reported.

Revolutionary Court Branch 15 confirmed the death penalty that was given to Majid Jamali Fash in August 2011.

On January 12, 2010 Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, the Iranian nuclear physics scientist, was killed in a remote-controlled bomb attack in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

In January 2011 Iran's Intelligence Ministry announced that it had dismantled what he called an "Israeli spy network" and arrested the main perpetrators of Ali-Mohammadi's assassination.

One of the detained, Majid Jamali-Fash told Iranian TV that he had received training in a military base outside Tel Aviv.
