A protest has been staged yesterday before the embassy of South Korea in Iran, in connection with Iran's Entikhab Industry Group's frozen assets, the group's website reported.

Entikhab Industry Group is one of the biggest fast-growing consumer electronics group with stable growth of profit in Iran and the Middle East region since 1989.

Some 1,500 workers of the Entikhab Industry Group, all dressed in similar outfits gathered in front of the South Korean embassy yesterday, expressing their protest towards the fact that company's assets were freezed in South Korea.

The 3-hour protest was staged after acquired permission from Iran's Interior ministry, and with police observation.

The representatives of the South Korean embassy promised to have a detailed look into this issue.

Three years ago, Entikhab Industry Group invested some $70 million into South Korea's Daewoo Electronics, however later when the sanctions against Iran were launched, the contract has been halted, and the groups investments in Korea - freezed.

The representatives of Daewoo did not agree to meet the Entikhab Industry Group officials to settle the dispute, thus the case has moved to the court.

Reportedly, the representatives of Daewoo Electronics should be arriving in the Court of Appeal for the case this Thursday in Iran.
