Iran has presented two new domestically made helicopters at the recently opened airlines and aviation exhibition on Kish island, Fars reported.

Iran has presented two new domestically made helicopters at the recently opened airlines and aviation exhibition on Kish island, Fars reported.

In presence of Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi, two helicopter models, "Panha 1" and "Panha 2" were unveiled.

"Panha 1" is a medium-class helicopter model, capable of carrying 14 people, and is suitable for both military and non-military missions.

"Panha 2" model is smaller, a light-weight class model, capable of carrying 8 passengers.
The exhibition that would last until December 14, also unveiled the "Shahriar" helicopter model, which is a modified version of the Bell 214ST twin-engine helicopter descended from Bell Helicopter's ubiquitous UH-1 Huey series.

Though it shares a type number with the somewhat-related Bell 214, the 214ST is larger and of quite different appearance.

The "Shahriar" helicopter model is capable is carrying around 20 people, and it has been completely modified by Iranian experts.
