Iran and Turkmenistan have agreed on the conditions of gas imports, commercial director of Iranian Development Organization Europe and America's department, Abdul Asadian said, IRNA reported.

Deputy Oil Minister of Iran, Jawad Owji said in January that Iran has imported 4 billion bcm of gas from Turkmenistan since March 19, 2012.

He said that Turkmenistan is currently exporting from 15 to 20 mcm of gas to Iran daily.

According to Iranian official statistics, Turkmenistan exported 11.8 bcm of gas to Iran during the last Solar year, which ended on March 19.

Further speaking, Asadian said that Iranian companies successfully presented themselves at the Ashgabat Products Expo, which was hosted a week ago.

"The exhibition was attended by about 80 Iranian companies, and the expo itself was a success," Asadian said, adding that officials from both Iran and Turkmenistan attended it.

He noted that in the future Iran plans to do barter deals with other Central Asian and Cis countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

Asadian added that Iran will even be holding bilateral meetings with representatives of the mentioned countries.
