A strong earthquake hit Iranian cities Khormudzh and Kaki located near the Bushehr nuclear power plant, the Fars agency reported on Tuesday.
The first jolt of the earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale was recorded at 16:22 local time. Several strong aftershocks measuring more than five points were recorder later.
No casualties or damage were reported.
An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit the same region two days earlier.
