Deputy FM: Talks on Syria between Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia to resume soon

The negotiations on Syrian issue between Iran, Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia will be resumed soon, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian said.

The negotiations on Syrian issue between Iran, Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia will be resumed soon, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, Mehr reported.

Amir-Abdollahian referred to the apparently failed attempt of foreign military intervention in Syria, and said that the diplomacy is the way of resolving the issue.

Iranian diplomat also said that during his recent trip to Egypt, country's president Mohammed Morsi expressed initiative for the joint talks on Syria to continue.

Amir-Abdollahian added that the Egyptian authorities would soon announce the date of the meeting.

Last year "the contact group" of Iran, Turkey and Egypt have met to discuss the Syrian crisis. The high ranking representatives were not joined by Saudi Arabia.
