There were some minor violations registered and reported to the ministry, Iranian interior minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar told Trend's journalist in Tehran.

"We are investigating these issues," Najjar said, without giving any details regarding the mentioned violations.

He did say that there are no considerably important violations, and the voting process continues at a high level.

Najjar also said that the people's participation at the elections is very good, and the voting process is very active at the polling stations.

"During the current elecions, all organizations, entities, candidates and people co-operated very well to carry out the elections the best way possible," Najjar underscored.

Previously, speaking to the journalists at the press conference, Najjar said that they can can go to any polling stations, and monitor the voting process.

Najjar went on to note that representatives of all presidential candidates were asked to be present at the polling stations.

He also warned all candidates not to give out any position about their possible victory before the official announcement.

"Right after the voting time ends, immediately the counting of votes will begin. However, our priority here is transparency and vigilance, not quick vote count," Najjar said at the conference, urging people to actively participate in voting, without delays.

The 11th presidential elections have officially started today in Iran.

The primary results of the June 14 presidential election will be announced by the Iranian Interior Ministry, and would be then approved by the Guardian Council.

There are six candidates participating in the current presidential elections: Secretary of Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei, Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili, former Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Velayati, Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, President of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi.

The primary results of the June 14 presidential election will be announced by the Iranian Interior Ministry, and would be then approved by the Guardian Council.
