Ahmadinejad`s minister appointed Iran’s deputy oil minister

Iranian ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s first Oil Minister, Kazem Vaziri Hamaneh has been appointed deputy Oil Minister by Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, the Mehr news agency reported.

It can be recalled that Vaziri Hamaneh was among supporters of Zanganeh when he was nominated by President Hassan Rouhani as Oil Minister.

He had argued that Zanganeh is the 'right person' for the Oil Ministry. Hamaneh served as oil minister from 2005 to 2007, when he was removed by Ahmedinejad.

He holds a mechanical engineering degree which he received from the Polytechnique University. He also received a master's degree in management.
