Iran's border patrol has arrested 38 Pakistani citizens on Iran-Pakistan border, ISNA news agency reported.

According to report, the people who arrived at the border from various cities of Pakistan, were trying to cross the border illegally, and move to third country through Iran.

Reportedly, the border patrol from the Iranian side sent the detained people back to Pakistan.

On Sunday, Sept. 2, Iranian security forces captured 8 more Pakistani nationals near the Taftan area in southeastern Iran. Reportedly, the people also tried to enter Iran illegally, however they were taken into custody.

In April, Iran deported 55 Pakistani nationals living in Iran without traveling documents.

Official sources said that Iranian border security force handed over 55 illegal immigrants to Levis Force at Taftan border in Chaghi district. Deportees were apprehended by Iran security forces as they did not have relevant documents on them.

In early August 2013, Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) officials arrested 45 Pakistani illegal immigrants on account of an illegal border crossing during a search operation along border areas.

According to the PCG statement, the immigrants were proceeding to Iran without passport and other valid documents.

They were poised to cross the border using unauthorized crossing routes. All apprehended persons were handed over to Federal Investigation Agency for further investigation.
