Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 20

By Saeed Isayev, Umid Niayesh - Trend: Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that in the nuclear talks of Iran and the Western states, there are some red lines that should be respected, IRINN state TV reported on Nov. 20.

"I do not intend to intervene into the details of negotiations," Khamenei said. "I insist that all the rights of Iranian people, including nuclear rights, should be considered."

Khamenei made the remarks while addressing Basij commanders from all around the country, with about 50,000 of Basij members attending a gathering with the Supreme Leader.

Further speaking about Iranian officials, Khamenei said he fully supports those officials, who manage the nuclear negotiating process between Iran and the Western states.

He said that Iran's officials should stand behind the rights of Iranian people.

Commenting on the sanctions imposed on Iran, Khamenei said Iranian people will never give up, and they will turn threats into opportunities.

"Sanctions are not useful for the enemies of Iran. The US officials also know that, because they repeatedly say that military option is on the table," Khamenei said.

"Iran has no enmity with the US people," he said.

Khamenei underlined that Iranian administration is against the "arroganct regime", adding that, the US government is head of the arrogance in the world.

"Arrogance regime does not acknowledge people's rights. They intervene in other nations` business and try to impose their own values on others," Khamenei noted.

He went on to add that for the US it is hard to see Iran as influential power in one of the most sensitive world regions, and see Iran challenging its influence in the region.
