Bushehr nuclear power plant functions ordinarily despite the recent earthquake and there is no concern in this regard, ISNA quoted Iran's Atomic Energy Agency spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi as saying on November 29.
He rejected any probability of damage to the nuclear plant and added that the plant continues operation at its full capacity.
"The plant enjoys high standards in terms of safety against strong earthquakes," he said.
An earthquake measuring 5.7 on Richter scale was felt in all regions of the Iranian province of Bushehr on Nov. 28.
Bushehr Governor Fereidoun Hassanvand said the earthquake killed eight people, and injured 60.
"Three persons are in critical condition, 130 people got medical care", Hassanvand said.
He also said the earthquake destroyed and damaged homes of a lot of people.
Earlier reports said 8 people were killed and 44 more injured as a result of the quake.
