Iran expects to reach an agreement with OPEC on oil production quotas, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is on a visit to Russia, said, RIA Novosti reported.
"I am sure that within OPEC we will be able to reach agreement. Iran will use its right to produce oil within its scope," the Iranian minister said in an interview with Russia-24.
Zarif also added that oil agreements will not be considered in the ongoing negotiations in Moscow.
"As for my visit, of course we are talking on other topics. This is not an issue that will be discussed during this visit," the foreign minister said.
Earlier, the Iranian foreign minister held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. A meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is also scheduled for January 16.
