Iran is ready to fulfill all agreements with Russia, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported on Jan. 16.
Zarif said the president of Iran Hassan Rouhani "is very pleased" with the last phone conversation with his Russian counterpart.
"We are ready to fulfill the agreements that were reached," the minister said.
On Jan. 9, Putin and Rouhani discussed the agreement on Iran's nuclear program and preparation of an international conference on settlement of the conflict in Syria.
Speaking about the Syrian conflict, Zarif said that Iran is grateful to Russia for its efforts on settlement of the Syrian conflict and intends to continue to cooperate with Russia in this direction.
"Your success in achieving and preventing war in Syria is a very great success, which led to the destruction of chemical weapons," Iranian FM said. "In addition, the success of the meeting in Geneva was achieved through effective efforts of the Russian Federation, we thank you for this".
