Jaish-ul-Adl confirmed on its twitter account that it has kidnapped 5 Iranian border guards.

The missing border guards gone missing in the Jakigvar area in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan on Friday night, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported.

Some reports indicate that they have been transferred to the Pakistani side of the border.

Border officials from both Iran and Pakistan have reportedly discussed the issue in a series of meetings.

Informed sources confirmed that there were no reports of armed conflict with Iranian border guards last night.

In February 2013, Iran and Pakistan signed a security agreement under which both countries are required to cooperate in preventing and combating organized crime, fighting terrorism and countering activities which pose a threat to the national security of either country, Press TV reported.
