Iran's Air Forces now function with a new approach, the country's commander of Air Forces, Amir Shah Safi said, Iran's Fars news agency reported on Feb. 10.

Safi made the comments in the meeting with military officials of different countries in Tehran.

"Iran's military power makes the enemy stay away from military option that they it keeps on the table," Safi said.

He went on to assume that future wars will take place in air, as a lot of the attacks might be coming from air, with use of aircrafts and missiles.

"Thus, the Air Force is directing all its interior resources towards manufacturing new jet fighters and aircrafts," he said, adding that Iran is ready to face any kind of attack from air.

Further speaking, Safi said Iran's Air Forces are engaged in manufacturing flight simulators, fighter jets, ground and air missiles, radars and navigation systems, all of which are the country's achievements.

Iran frequently holds various military exercises and drills, while repeatedly saying that its military achievements are defensive and pose no threats to any other country.
