Majlis Vice-Speaker Mohammad Hossein Aboutorabi-Fard blasted the European Parliament for approving the anti-Iran Human Rights resolution in its recent meeting in Brussels, IRNA reported.
ˈThis resolution will not disrupt the will of the hero nation of Iran,ˈ Aboutorabi-Fard on Friday.
Aboutorabi-Fard underlined that the enemies of the Islamic Revolution used different cultural, political, military and economic means against Iran and the Iranian nation and all of them were doomed to failure.
In relevant remarks, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham blasted the Friday approval of an anti-Iran Human Rights resolution by the European Parliament, and described it as ˈunfounded and unacceptableˈ.
Afkhamˈs remarks came in reaction to the EPˈs adoption of the resolution in its Friday meeting in Brussels.
ˈThe endorsement of a resolution regarding ties with Iran and human rights situation in the country by the EU parliament is unfounded and unacceptable,ˈ Afkham told reporters on Friday.
She reiterated that the fact that a number of hardline MPs in the EU parliament have undertaken efforts to adopt an imperative stance and continue an ambitious trend, which is rooted in ancient timesˈ thoughts, does not comply with any political and international criterion and logic.
Afkham had also on Wednesday dismissed the draft resolution as ˈunrealistic and counterproductiveˈ.
