The kidnapped Iranian border guards entered Iranian soil, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported on April 6.

In a post in tweeter, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the border guards' freedom.

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazlihas also issued a statement, confirming the guards' release.

The body of one border guard, that was shot did not returned back.

On Feb. 6, the Jaish al-Adl group kidnapped five Iranian border guards in the Jakigour region of the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, which borders with Pakistan. The guards were immediately transferred to the Pakistani territory.

The group tweeted on March 23 that it has hanged one of the guards, named Jamshid Danayeefar. The information was later confirmed.

Jaish al-Adl has refused to return Danayeefar's body to Iranian officials, saying that it will exchange the corpse with the body of 50 killed members of the group.

Iran's Khabar Online news portal reported a while ago that in exchange for the border guards, Jaish al-Adl had requested Iran to release 50 members of its group, 200 other Sunni prisoners being held in Iran and 50 female Sunni prisoners in Syria.
